This old favorite is sometimes made with tomato soup in place of the tomato sauce.
Makes about 3 cups.
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1/2 cup red-wine or cider vinegar
1 small onion, cut up
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup vegetable oil
Procedure:
1. Combine all ingredients except oil in container of electric blender; whirl until smooth.
2. Add oil gradually; continue blending until thickened and smooth.
